The first thing I noticed when we were seated was their wobbly tables, which a definite no-no when eating. You don’t want to be distracted by moving food right? Anyways, the waitresses were attentive and gave us appropriate time to choose something off the menu. Beebs got the beef steak with noodles and I got the chicken steak with noodles. We also got the five piece beef wrap for an appy, and mango green tea for a drink to share. The drink was served almost immediately. There was nothing special about the drink: mango syrup in green tea. It was a typical bubble tea drink that wasn’t astounding. Oh, this Taiwanese restaurant is special that it doesn’t specialize in bubble tea. Interesting, right? Anyways, when the appy was served I was extremely shocked by the small proportions. This is probably the smallest beef wrap I had till date. I think the they definitely were lacking in beef and had too much wrap? These were just too plain to be special. I did like the presentation though, but that wasn’t enough to please me. Our steaks arrived sizzling, and smelled delicious. I got to admit the first few bites of the steaks (both Beebs and I) were pretty awesome. The meat was tender and seemed fresh. The peppery flavour was also something new to me. Beebs loved how the vegetables were steamed, so we had the option of eating them plain or dipping it in the sauce. They served a good amount of noodles that didn’t stuff you up. But towards the end, it was really hard to down the last few bites. I think the dish is good when it’s hot out of the kitchen, but becomes mediocre after it cools. The price was fair when we paid the bill, but I think I would’ve spent the money else. This was just an okay experience for me.
Personally, I don’t think I would go here again. I think this restaurant needs some improvement. I hope they do well though. Goodluck.
